The counseling program at Deane Bozeman School is designed to address the academic, social, emotional and personal needs of all elementary level students. I am in the guidance office daily, during school hours, and available to meet with all students in the school.
I will work to compliment classroom learning by actively identifying signs of at-risk student behavior and removing educational barriers that may prevent students from achieving at their optimal level. I will assist students in areas such as recommending materials to improve study habits, and offering aid in problems of adjustment such as listening to student issues and discussing relevant personal problems and concerns.
In addition, I will meet with classroom teachers regularly to discuss student performance, peer relationships, and family related issues. I will work collaboratively with teachers, students, administrators, and parents within Deane Bozeman Elementary and will be actively involved in the decision making process for all students.
I am available throughout the year to meet with students and parents, both as individuals and as groups. Parents are encouraged to contact me at (850) 767-1314 when issues or concerns arise.
